The Best Treat for Treating PCOS

Do you have PCOS? If you are like many of my clients this is a daily struggle with what to eat and how to manage your sugar cravings. You know you are supposed to stay away from sugar but how do you do that when it is everywhere and you are craving it so bad?

So what is the best treat for treating PCOS…

Fertility Smoothies!!! One of the easiest ways to curb your sweet tooth and give your body TONS of nutrients is by adding fertility smoothies to your daily routine either for breakfast or as a mid-afternoon snack.

These are packed with easy to digest nutrients that boost your fertility naturally and provide you with bio-available vitamins and minerals that will leave you feeling satisfied and fertile. Your body can assimilate liquid way easier than solid food so by replacing one of your regular meals with this liquid gold you are giving the body what it needs so it can do what it was made to do.

Women with PCOS that change their diet to a PCOS friendly one typically see dramatic improvements to their health – especially their reproductive health. That is why we bring you this guide to making your own super delicious, nutritious and PCOS friendly smoothies.

These smoothies are also wonderful at balancing your hormones so you look and feel your best.

Tips and Tricks for Making PCOS Smoothies
  1. Make sure to balance the amount of protein to fruits and carbohydrates in your smoothies. This is going to help you keep your blood sugar levels balanced. Avoiding an insulin spike and the blood sugar roller coaster.
  2. Stevia is your sweet tooth savior. It has no calories and is 200 times sweeter than sugar. I love liquid organic stevia and my favorite brand is – Now Foods Liquid Stevia.
  3. To make your smoothie creamy and smooth in consistency, we highly recommend adding in a half of an avocado, whole-fat coconut milk, or a ¼ cup nuts or seeds that have been soaked overnight, or all three!
